Tour in Varanasi

Varanasi:The spiritual capital of India

  •         Our journey in banaras begin with the clock's ticking, It’s 5.30 am, and I woke up, eager for the exciting neW adventure waiting for me out of the room. I’m in banaras, one of the holiest Hindu cities in India, where number of pilgrims are eager to bathe in the sacred waters of the Ganges, the Ganga which flow throughout the IndiA,It is said that  A dip in the sacred ganga is said to wash away all our bad deeds , and for many pilgrims, it is a once in a lifetime event.

There was  a sacred vibe in the air as we drive through the colourful roads. At this time the streets was silent as the night I was very eager to watch out the world famous  Prayagraj Kumbh Mela, the worlds largest holY gathering.!! But before that it was breakfast time.
I saw many small groups of peoples  around the tea stall , sipping on Chai,As they seems to chai freak.!

On the other side of the road, the day was on its way to begin..

Varanasi

Varanasi Sunrise..

The wish i had dreamed off watching the sunrise in banaras was going to full now..The best way to see a sunrise is  from a boat in Varanasi

  • Varanasi was  the place I’m most excited to visit in my traveller's book, though it’s taken me hours of drive to reach here.. As we move  into a slowly dancing boat at assi Ghat..
The Ghats are the staircases which lead down into the waters of the Ganges. As i remember there were 120  odd Ghats, are home to many prists, the burning of bodies in the harishchandra Ghat was one of the scarY views of our tour.! It  points the end of ones  journey on this mighty earth...

Varanasi

Before moving forward we have  witnessed the morning chanting ceremony, it was performed each day before the sunrise.Nearby, ladies were tossing coins into a fire provoking their uncompleting and long wishes.!!

With the hundres or thousands of pilgrims, I sat on the ghats staircase , watching on as the sky slowly turned to blue and the last raises of the morning ceremony was about to fade. It wasn’t even 7 am and my day had already began..!!

The sun starts to rise, sending a golden vibes across the river banks.

  • The cold morning breeze near the river is just awesome.

And yaa compare to the funerals in Maharashtra, this open-to-all tradition is at first hard to stomach. With  the hundreds and hundreds of cremations a day in Varanasi, this is an experience you’ll be hard-pressed to avoid when you visit here.

Varanasi

My eyes were roaming everywhere, and from the unique  point of the wooden boat, you have a front view to the cities soul. I’m not going to lie; it’s a lot to do.

Varanasi speaks about the hindu culture,ThE burning of the body is to Free the Soul from the physical body with the belief that the next world is more important than the last. And it takes the soul towards the heaven..

Somehow at only, 9 am it already felt like a full day of exploring had passed and my stomach was also to begin chanting as loud as the morning ceremony. Allo-kachori and the red yellowish-hot jalebis are the local early breakfast. Its very delicious and Yaa , Don't forget to try it once..

  • As the day was passing by i was wondering with my dad around the cloth market to see the world famous banaras saree..Now the sun has started it journey towards the bath in the sacred ganga..

It’s time to return to the waters, this time to visit Dashashwamedh Ghat for the evening " GanGa ArtTi"..

There Were Countless boats, maybe even in the hundreds, are patiently floating at the Ghats side, slowly crashing into one another as everyone tries to get a view of the ceremony. We had also hired a boat for having the astonishing experience.!!

  • On land, the Dashashwamedh Ghat is also overflowing. Hundreds upon thousands of people are here to witness the majestic event in all its divine glory. Many other  families were near the back of the pack, to take decent photos, I settle into my seat to  appreciate the magic of the moment.

Varanasi

This is the India we dream of as indians, and on a slightly chilly Saturday night, I’m feeling like i was in heaven..the soft breeze of the water was going by me.. it's seems like it want to hug me..

I really thanks to my dad for the awesome trip.He had drove the car 5300 kms to make the trip.. Varanasi

  ThankS DaD.!!
