Jaipur:- ThE pinK CiTY Of IndiA
It took 2 daYs to reach Jaipur by car. Then as decided we booked our rooms in the luxurious hotel "Rambagh". The best place to reside in jaipur,to lead the feelings of being the royal member like maharaja.!! The hotel was first the residence of maharaja, but later onwards it was converted into a grand hotel.!!
- The rooms and the views from the balcony are just awesome.. the hotel was an astonishing piece of Rajasthani artwork..
As i remember till we all fresh up it was already 9 am, we were already late.!!
Dad was shouting on us. Then after that our journey to explore the " pink city " begin..
As Jaipur is a place on almost everybody’s wish lists. The invoking colors, battle-scarred forts, breathtaking dunes..are a unforgettable memories.!!
The first place to visit on our list was " Amber palace"
- AMBER PALACE
The palace. Was located in craggy hills, it was beautiful mix up of Hindu and Mughal styles. The palace, which seems to be built as a strong and all mighty.!!
- . The contrast between the architectury is like inviting us . The fort was made by red sandstone and white marble. We all were left spellbound by the magnificence of the palace that fills with carvings, precious stones and mirrors. The splendour of the palace is enhanced by the breath-taking vista of the Maota Lake in front.!! Then our next spot was ThE CitY PalaCE.
CITY PALACE
As the name of the palace,it is Located deep within the walled city you can also enjoy the " tanga" its a awesome ride to loOk around the city.!!
- The City Palace Complex was conceived and built by Maharaja Sawai Jai Singh II, the founder of Jaipur The city palace is a beautiful mixture of Mughal and Rajput architecture, the palace is still home to the last ruling royal family which lives in a private section of the palace. .The Palace Complex includes the Mubarak Mahal (the palace of reception) and the Maharani’s Palace (the palace of the queen). Mubarak Mahal displays a vast and unique collection of royal costumes, delicate Pashmina shawls, Benaras silk saris, and other dresses with Sanganeri prints and folk embroidery. The clothes of Maharaja are also on display. The Maharani's Palace, has an interesting display of very well-preserved Rajput weaponry, some dating back to the 15 -16 th century. The palace was adorned with beautiful paintings on the ceiling that are well-maintained.!!
Then after having a loOk at the astonishing palace we moved towards the " Jantar Mantar"..
Jantar Mantar
It is one of the oldest astronomical observatories featuring the world’s largest stone sundial, located in the heart of Jaipur. It shows us the age old astronomy, and i was very eager to have a look at it.!!
- Alas , it is no longer a working science center but it is well maintained as a monument, The local guide gives you the best knowledge about the historical place..And you know what.., the Jantar Mantar in Jaipur is one of the largest observatories in the world, consists of remarkable stone and also interpret the position of celestial bodies and calculate local time.!!
In it you will explore some of the best monuments,
Vrihat Smarat Yantra
Vrihat Smarat Yantra it is a huge sun dial at the centre of Jantar Mantar Observatory. It is the tallest sundial in the world.
Samrat Yantra
’ it calculates the time up to the accuracy of two seconds.!!
Laghu Smarat Yantra
This instrument was smaller in size, and measures the local time up to the accuracy of twenty seconds. The ramp of this sundial points towards the North Pole, so the local time in Jaipur can be easily calculated by measuring the position of ramp’s shadow on the divisions of the carved scale.
Ram Yantra
Ram Yantra measures the elevation of Sun and planets, and consists of a pair of tube- shaped structures, open to the sky. Ram Yantra is only found in Jantar Mantar of Jaipur and New Delhi..Then after exploring the whole place,we went to see the Hawa mahal.
.The Hawa Mahal
The hawa mahal is considered as one of the most iconic attractions of the city. The five-storey building looks like a honeycomb.!!
And as we entered in it, it feels windy inside, due to the numerous windows and jharokhas. Due to this amazing windy experience that the palace enjoys is the reason why it was named as the Hawa Mahal i think.
- The main purpose behind the construction of this palace was to allow the ladies of the royal family and the court to observe the busy streets of the Johari Bazaar from the many jharokhas of the palace, without being seen themselves.!!
There are as many thinks to do in jaipur as you started exploring it..
- The Jaigad fort, The Nahargarh fort, The albert museum is also fine example of the Rajasthani architectury.!!
JAL MAHAL
- IT was one of the most wonderful sights in Jaipur is the beautiful Jal Mahal or Lake Palace. The light, sand coloured stone walls and the deep blue of the water make for a wonderful mixture of the artwork The palace appears to be floating in the centre of Man Sagar Lake, its magnificent exteriors was just unforgettable.!!
After exploring the astonishing sites our tour was going to end..Atlast the memories were only going to last.!! Jaipur:-ThE pinK citY
